Role of transportation in polluting the environment

Transportation plays one of the most significant roles in polluting the environment and heating up the environment leading to global warming. Fuel emissions from the vehicles using petrol or diesel as a fuel are causing great damages to the green house gases of the planet. Now-a-days, more and more environmental services are recommending to use green transport which aims at making use of alternative sources of fuels and vehicles. By this, we mean to travel in vehicles that run on renewable sources of energy instead of petrol and diesel. Such vehicles are basically solar powered vehicles and wind powered vehicles, and other alternative sources of energy, including solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy and bio-diesel. Green transport also mean using public transport facilities rather than traveling in private vehicles. In this way, the number of vehicles running on the roads will be decreased and thus will the pollution caused by these vehicles. Environmental services also recommend car pooling methods of transporting which means that 5 people running in the same direction can share a single car instead of traveling individually in 5 different cars. In addition to saving the environment from pollution, most of the states provide greater rebates on their income tax returns if they are using green transport methods for transporting.

Using skip hire is also useful to save the environment from pollution and other disturbances. In this way, you will not need to throw away your wastes anywhere in your locality, thus contributing to keep your environment clean and pure.
