The Irish government is opening its procurement and RFT (request for tender) systems by going online. This is a huge market, covering everything from office supplies to military equipment. For information on Public Procurement in Ireland log on to the Public Sector Procurement Portal.

New Zealand has no official 'purchasing gazette' or other comprehensive centralised system for the collection and dissemination of government procurement opportunites. Government agencies generally encourage competition by publicising their procurement requirements through newspapers, specialised tender magazines or electronic media, or directly to suppliers who have registered their interest. The Ministry of Economic Development and APEC provide summaries of New Zealand's state procurement environment.
